Welcome to the official home of SkyMarshall Arts.
To make this quick, let me just sum up what this site is all about.

SkyMarshall Arts is a one-man (with friends) -group who concentrate on remaking classic tunes and melodies from old vintage games from the Commodore, Amiga, Nintendo, Sega and so forth - as well as original work that has a certain retro-style. Nothing makes me feel better inside than listening to old music from my childhood and just sit back and dream and remember. That is in essence why I remix. Takes me back for a while.

I started out making music mainly in FastTracker on the PC, but experimented as early as on the Amiga 500 with software like OctaMED and ProTracker. These days I mainly sequence songs in Cubase and FLStudio, and record and edit vocals, samples and instruments in Adobe Audition. If I need a tracker now, I actually use Modplug Tracker. It reminds me of FastTracker - and Im fast with FastTracker.

Over the last 10 years the music has gained some underground attention, and it seems a lot of people out there listen to it from time to time. This is nothing short of pure awesome. I make music entirely for my own joy, totally non-profit and because I want to know what "that song" would sound like if I remade it the way I want to hear it. So, the fact that people actually listen to this makes me keep making music. And I always will. Always.

So I have set up this site with a forum, so that you can download the music for free and perhaps leave me some feedback if you want to. Feedback, good or bad, is extremely motivational - and the only payment I receive from this work. You can ofcourse donate through PayPal to help out - but that is entirely up to you.

In conclusion, if you want to have a chat or ask for something, register and leave a shout in the forums. Its there to be used. I probably check in daily to see if something is going on. Thank you for your support, and just keep downloading and spreading the word. It makes  an old-school tracker happy.
