The Lore

Do you remember The X-Files? Well the creator of that, Chris Carter, tried to make another show in the same style, this time with Lance Henriksen – and that show was Millenium. It ran back in the late 90’s for three seasons. Pretty good. Pretty overlooked. Anyway, I was making a song about space exploration and somehow derailed in the middle of it and decided to make the theme from Millenium the main melody. And here we are. An ADHD mixture of ideas as usual.

How it was made

It was made in FLStudio 6 with these VST instruments:

The entire reason for me starting this song was to try to make a computer voice on a space ship. I recorded my own voice, but I cannot for the life of me remember how I did the FX for it all the way back in 2006. It’s just barely altered to be honest, so it might just be some Adobe Audition tweaking. Maybe it will come to me later.

The song it is based on

It is the main theme by Mark Snow (the same dude who did the X-Files theme) from the show Millenium with Lance Henriksen. It was about the ex-FBI agent Frank Black who was out solving crime. I believe he was able to see into the minds of bad people. I think it ran for three seaons. Cool show. Cool theme.
