The Lore

Oh yes. Here it is. A new dawn for young SkyMarshall. This is me stumbling blind into the brand new world of modern DAW’s, specifically Fruityloops 3 by Image-Line, and leaving FastTracker behind for good. More or less. So this is the very first thing I created. A remix of one of my old tracker song Relaxed. Everything was unknown and full of potential. What a glorious time it was. Oh the memories.

How it was made

It was made in Fruityloops 3 with these VST instruments:

Being the old tracker that I was, I immediately started exporting samples from one of my old songs. Then slowly trying to recreate it in Fruityloops. I got the hang of all the basics, and quickly figured out how to arpeggiate, lay down pads and get the bass and kick section going. And then it was time for a theme. So I decided to rip voices from one of my favorite games at the time, which was Black & White by Lionhead Studios. And then slapped the title Destination Earth on it for some reason. Whatever this is, I love it. Not because it is good – but because it was the first.
