I literally sat down to make Forever Gamer II one day. I wanted to tell another gamer-story, and everybody wants a sequel to Forever Gamer. Sounds like an easy thing to do. Well not if you’re me. I get distracted immediately. I have so much half-finished music hidden away it’s incredible. My daughter was hanging around as well one day and asked if she could get a song. Hmmm I guess?  Why not also tell a story about work? And gaming? Why not. Wrote a lot of lyrics and got to work.

I got the music done in exactly 24 hours and 47 minutes over a few weeks time. Took it’s time to find a direction to go. Production was pretty straight forward. Wanted to make a safe catchy song with a few things happening to keep it interesting. Making the flute was pretty cool, spent a bit of time making that sound realistic. The lyrics got increasingly rediculous for an EDM song – as is standard for me – but I think I nailed it in the end. Anastasia liked it and recorded her vocals in a day or two.

But the majority of time here was making the music video. Getting footage of #life over a few weeks time and editing it down to something watchable. And a lot of people wanted to join. So we have friends, co-workers and family on here – as well as online friends that sent in footage of their life. Also some childhood and teenage footage thrown in. Pretty cool project to work on actually. Hope you like it as well.

Anastasia Skynova is in fact not her real name. Not even remotely close. We just came up with that because it looks cool on the track title. There is a reason behind that ofcourse. She wants to be anonymous on our projects because she actually works in the business professionally for an actual living. Doing writing and vocals for several major labels, and she has been featured in several ads on tv. So no name. No pictures. No google search. Just her voice on some of our projects because it’s fun.

The original song is a pretty catchy melody called Arrival, and was an instrumental by ABBA featured on their 1976 album also called Arrival. Arguably more well known is the cover version that Mike Oldfield did in 1989. Also, back in my teenage years, I used to love a eurodance remix by SSL9000 that came out in 1999.
