Go West has always been a tune I have liked. The Pet Shop Boys version that is. I always think of Ghostbusters when I hear it, probably because of some core memory watching that and listening to music on a saturday morning in the 90s. Five years later I did another version – called Back in the Day. Go check that out too.

The song it is based on

Go West was made by Village People in 1979, and later covered by Pet Shop Boys in 1993 – which is the version I have always loved and cover here. Neil Tennant has a pretty distinctive voice on him. I also got the waves crashing sample and the countdown sample from the module Go West Y2K Mix by Mikke.

Remember the days when a sound card could sound better then the one you made it with and make you re appreciate the song all over again
