Hey I think I know that feeling about self-produced music feeling shallow or uncreative because it follows a common pattern and sounds the same The thing is, we just love your specific music style. The Lore

I made the beginning of this song a while back. Nice little loop. And then all ideas went out the window and I got so stuck I couldn’t think of a single thing that would get me further in the track. I was at it for a while. Absolutely no ideas. So after a while I figured I could just write and sing some lyrics about being stuck. So I went ahead with that and got it recorded, and then I remixed my own song from back in the day called The Voyage for the second half of the track. Some days be like that.

How it was made

It was made in FLStudio 20 Producer Edition with these VST instruments:

This one was a struggle as mentioned above. I had some good parts and then nothing. But I finally had some fun recording the vocals on this, and then vocoding them through some synth in Omnisphere and harmonizing them for a fun effect. First half of the song is an original melody I came up with, and the second half is my old song The Voyage in a different key, different ryhtm and slight variations.

And just to stick to the theme, the music video is just me at the desk listening through what I made, enjoying a Zyn and a healthy energy drink of death.
