The Lore

Every time someone asks me what my all time favorite game is, my mind always jumps straight to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I think it seriously rocked my world there in the basement one christmas morning in the 90’s. I still love it to death. Anyway, I haven’t really covered anything from Zelda – except this. And I am sorry to say it’s a pretty sad attempt. We must try again some day.

How it was made

It was made in Fruityloops 3 with these VST instruments:

Unfortunately I have lost these project files. One of many that went missing over the years during PC upgrades and HDD swaps. But I reckognize every single instrument in here anyway, so no problem compiling the list above. I also hear some samples from my tracker songs in here, especially the percussion loop in the back. That is from my Beverly Hills Cop remix. Other than that this is pretty basic and early. Also managed to put the mix far back in the field so it sounds like its played way over there. Odd choice. Do not ask me why. An early attempt at Zelda were made.

The song covered here is Song of Time from the soundtrack to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, composed by Koji Kondo back in 1998. The song is a 13 second medley played on an ocarina in the game, opening the doors of time for Link to pass through. Just the sound of pure childhood.
